Rhinestone Heart

Rhinestone Heart

A Poem by CagedBIRDsings

The smell of cheap wine clings

See what the red dress brings

Cigarette smoke hide broken angel wings

Rhinestone Heart, Lipstick smears

Broken glasses filled with dirt and tears

Rear end tattoos faded with years

Body is broken and bruised

Party  gone wrong, "love" is misused

Sweat drips down as the moral is abused

Rhinestone heart, Red Rouge Blues

Trace the scarred roads and connect the clues

Black Eyed Susan in purple hues

Moonlit bar, we're all alone

Leave a message after the tone...

I'm not about to pick up the phone
