Writer's Block- a reality or state of mind?

A Story by Bivita

As I sit here with a blank page on my computer screen, I am reminded of all the topics I could write upon.
Love, adversity, happiness, nature, beauty, motivation...all these are perceptions and a state of mind.
Does what I write matter? Are people flexible enough to welcome an alternate viewpoint or are simply resistant to change?

Finally, after scrolling through different tabs, I decided to write on....The Writer's Block- reality or a state of mind?

there has been numerous instances like this where I decided to write something sensible and meaningful. But every time, I am faced by an unclear scenario in my head, this block, I just go with the flow.
This flow can be tedious and rocky at times, and sometimes it is smooth as honey.
My observation is-  a writer's block arises when we do not write or give ourselves the time or space to think and analyze certain situations we are a part of. We jump here and there like a helpless child without a mother.
Nowadays, we do not give ourselves room to breathe, to think, to go with the flow...
We are preoccupied with fear of losing time, fear of missing out, fear of situations that we warp ourselves inside a bubble of denial and non productivity.

I have to confess, this is me writing in months...my writer's block was just in my head. The block was the imbalanced lifestyle, illogical heartbreak, an aimless search for love thereafter, chasing fantasies and not using my brain cells too often.
Even when you're certain of what you want, sometimes the monotonicity of it all creates a pattern in our minds to not achieve what we want and need to.

A writer's block is a state of mind, one that can make you wonder how the heck you went days without writing, speculating and getting overwhelmed by the blocks created by us in our own minds.

I like what you have expressed above but believe that "writer's block" is something different in everyone. In me it is my desire to outdo what I have done previously. Now I know how that sounds and I am not a very vain person but when I write something that I really like I always wonder, will the next one be better or will the next one feel forced or something that shouldn't have been written. I feel I experience "writer's block" often and have different ways of "unclogging" my mind. I once wrote a poem about a paperclip that I was twirling in my fingers while trying to think of something to write. A week or so ago I wrote a poem about a wall in my office because I was struggling to come up with an inspiration and just yesterday, I wanted to write something but had nothing to write about. I then came across an image that I really liked and decided to write about it. That one I posted last night. So, I get it, not as often as it may sound but I do. And when I do I always think I will never write anything as good as the last good poem I wrote and then...I do. : ) Welcome back to the world of the writing. : )

When my mind is tired. I read and I listen to music. Helps the writing block go away. I do understand the story. Some days, I can write 10 poems. Other days, zero. I believe we need a rested mind to create. Thank you Bivita for sharing your amazing words and thoughts.

I don't know how many times I wrote something about writers block. Even though I didn't consider myself a writer, or perhaps because being a poet and a writer has different meaning to me. Has different versions what writers block means. And how we cope differ from person to person.

I write poems whenever I am restless or my mind is too crowded to make me crazy. I simply don't push words to come out anymore or else it will be my Stumbling block to stop me from releasing my words..

I guess my point now is that we all have different ways on how we tackle these high walls. If it works and if not we try something else... Creativity works in many ways, in some it takes longer and in some its just there waiting to be discovered... You'll feel it and you will know..
