Oh, I spilled my coffee on you

Oh, I spilled my coffee on you

A Poem by Bivita

Walking down the street with a cup of coffee,
I was floating in my own dreams with the sun burning my skin and the wind trying to sedate my senses,
A slight current ran across my arm as we crossed paths
I didn't realize it until I spilled my coffee on your bright blue shirt

Your eyes caught my attention, your lips swirling as you spoke words in my ears
I wouldn't go so far as to tell you I loved you the moment I set eyes on you
Meh. It's all overrated and probably people going over the top,

But what I did feel  was the tone of your voice, setting fires inside my longing heart
You smiled at me and I smiled back
And as we went our separate ways, you glanced back at me, with the stain left on your shirt
And the only words that came out of my mouth were- "Oh, I spilled my coffee on you!"

This is very refreshing and warm. Makes one ponder on the effect a person can have on another, at a single glance. You surely do stumble upon some people at times, whom you have been hoping to meet since ages. Whether you click with them or not is quite something else. Overall, a very vivid and light-hearted poetic description. Loved it!

It's supposed to be more of a rant rather than a poem. But I appreciate your review. :)

Ah, I see... made me feel more of the latter. It is good enough, viewed either way!
