Your poem is a powerful and thought-provoking reflection on the themes of freedom, justice, and prejudice. The opening lines about taking away one's sanity and forcing them to adopt someone else's version of insanity are particularly striking, as they speak to a sense of individuality and the importance of one's own understanding of life. The imagery of being suppressed, demeaned, booted, and abandoned is vivid and evokes a sense of injustice and oppression. The call to rise up and shout at the top of one's lungs is inspiring and speaks to a sense of empowerment and self-worth. The final lines about diversity choking on itself, love turning pretentious, and an act of hatred endangering the roots of humanity are poignant and thought-provoking. Overall, your poem is a powerful and moving exploration of important themes that will resonate with many readers.
You're touching on one of my biggest pet peeves lately. Just becuz black lives matter, that doesn't imply that other lives DON'T matter. This is one of the most tragic mis-interpretations of a great byline. To assume that black lives matter means other lives don't matter as much is another form of racism, in my opinion. It's always got to be about "me" -- the ones who already enjoy incredible privilege in the USA becuz of being white (I can attest to how much easier it is to be white in this country). OK, now you've launched me into a tirade, let me say that your own tirade is well-stated with simmering passions that don't overtake the intelligence of your statement. I love that you're expressing yourself with a sense of outrage, but this isn't what dominates, becuz what you're saying is well-stated & hard-hitting (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

thanks for your feedback :)
Such powerful yet emotional words.. language to be proud of. Women particularly are held back here and there all over, as if their emotions don't matter, that invisibility is all that's deserved. ' For ages I have been suppressed and demeaned, booted and abandoned... ' It's definitely a case of 'all for one', of gaining the impetus of constrained power and - speaking out. There's s honour, confidence and intelligence is finding a voice.
Life is a ever-ending journey and we will struggle to see our needed path.
"Diversity is choking on itself, sanity is losing its meaning
Love is turning pretentious and an act of hatred is endangering the roots of humanity
Is this the definition of empathy and morality?
Or it’s just a facade over my existence."
Empathy and morality defined by where you are standing. In modern world. We may never know. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
