At winter last dayA Poem by Dean WyesOld poem I wrote in 2008At winter last day She ran so far away, Her heart beating fast 'Cause she found it at last. She couldn't believe her eyes Couldn't stand the emotion She knew there were not lies As she lost time notion. Cold air started to blow A jacket she had none Temperature went low But she was already gone. At her destination She finally arrived, No more imagination She was now alive. Her fingers were trembling But at the door she knocked Impatiently waiting To the gate being unlocked. The door opened at last She felt the cold leaving As his arms wrapped her fast Relieving an anxious needing. © 2019 Dean Wyes |
