Never Had NothingA Poem by Birdman313My very first poem I wrote when I was out in L.A. playing Basketball in the summer Pro League 1978 and also in my 2nd Poetry Book " Birdman 13 Point 1 "
To never had nothing
is nothing new, The wino's in the
street wake up in morning dew, The philospher says
to the poet what's on the mind, In all do respect all
I have is time. The people on the
block tries to relate, While the policeman
on the beat tries to manipulate. The pimps and players
are rolling bones, While the junkies and
prostitute have there jones. The poet says to the
public come to this meet, I have something new
that will put rhythmn to the feet. To never have nothing
is oh so blue, To finally have
something is very new. © 2011 Birdman313Author's Note
