Definition of LoveA Poem by Steven Bilodeau
The soft settled spot under the large oak tree The sweet aroma of embrace and partnership. The view of an endless field of grass and grain swaying through the gentle breeze. Sunset light glazed and contoured her shoulders as she gazed deep into my eyes, and I did likewise We sat there for hours, but time stood still, night came quickly. The stars appeared in the sky, The harvest moon, gigantic orangey yellow A sense of a New England backdrop scene. The air was warm, as if we’re hugging tightly. Time didn’t matter, we were together The soft kiss that she gave me, and whispered… I love you. For eternity… © 2009 Steven Bilodeau |
