From Shade To ShadowsA Poem by William Michael ReevesDouble sided Villanelle
These days I've come to hate the sun;
the heat can be unbearable. From shade to shadows now I run. To have no shelter's not much fun when living in your vehicle. These days I've come to hate the sun. Attention's glare is what I shun, my life's become so flammable. From shade to shadows now I run. So fast is life that it will stun ~ gone, like a melting icicle. These days I've come to hate the sun. Our world ... out of control it's spun. The change is unbelievable. From shade to shadows now I run. The need to hide has just begun; it hurts to write this chronicle. These days I've come to hate the sun ~ from shade to shadows now I run. 2023 © 2023 William Michael ReevesAuthor's Note
