Poetic Reviews 3A Poem by William Michael ReevesThird installment. Three from me for thee
For Carlos Lorenzo Estrada's poem 'A Simple Poem (about love).
On a note of love fell hope from above; danced on desperate opaque wind like leaves from heaven, cast as sinned. The song once sublime ... silence now fills time. No steps echo down halls of hearts; through doors left open, trust departs. Lonely melody drifts near shame's entry ~ held open lust's mauve intention; magnetic red attracts tension ... suspends the right song with dark deeds done wrong. Caught infidelity implied, the hope for new commitment cried. For, springs eternal man's desire carnal; knows instincts cloud his better sense, yet, seeds a storm to feel intense. And though our loins pined, passion intertwined to save brittle leaves from falling. Listen! You'll hear true love calling. 2022 A conversation with lightsong after reviewing her poem 'Unearthly'. Thank you for the beautiful sunrise it fills my heart with sincere warmth expressed from a beautiful night here, you make me feel so blessed. You're welcome, for my sun which is now yours. I am happy to be circling it with you across oceans, to your shores. Now, my moon is your moon. Our moon circles us as we pass below it. It's light pulls the blanket of darkness out of our sight ~ center's our orbit, in natural order held tight to circadian rhythms, where dreams take flight. (I hope you have a good night) Good morning, till goodnight. My sun kisses the moon goodbye. And in today's goodbye, may your dreams sleep bright. I'll sip on my dreams while you enjoy your morning brew free of expectations, thick as primal stew. And if you dilute it with tears from flowers it will surely taste genuine and true. Thank you for the sun! She says to you please, sleep well ... may our hearts be at ease. 2023 For Lisaview's poem 'Push'. Write your joy today don't wait another day lift your now in the heat and share inundating living words that melt strife flying in our mind's sky to land where our words stand. Stamped love preps thoughts penned by poets with ideas deft all who read the meaning are clear completed rhymes shine in time with patience we read them together, and learn. At the end of the day we write pushing life into words, celebrating their light! 2022 © 2023 William Michael ReevesAuthor's Note
