The Rails EndA Poem by William Michael ReevesAnd Cherrie Palmer. An encounter between poets
Pardon my mind ma'am
I couldn't help but notice Your shadow has grown 'Tis true I confess The dark drew me ever near Your light a beacon My light's a journey Dark rails of a tale to share Hear my confession Let us climb aboard By cover of night converse Share with me your tale A tale to enchant Listen close as we embark Bring your shadow near This day was too long My soul thirsty for some joy Your words I await Rest your head right here On my words your mind will lite Your dream, is my tale My essence lingers Shadowing your every word Until the rails end 2021 © 2021 William Michael ReevesAuthor's Note
