An Eloquent Sentiment

An Eloquent Sentiment

A Poem by William Michael Reeves
"

For my mother when I gave her a cherished piece of jewelry from my late soul mate.

"
I pass this memory to you
Beautiful and elegant
As she was
And you are.

I share this memory with you
Thoughtful of a lifetime spent
Knowing her
Knowing you.

I give this memory to you
Hopeful you feel what it meant
To love her
And love you!

Made sense to give it to my mom. Whatever was I going to do with such a beautiful thing. And hope that she passes it to another beautiful woman and so on to live for eternity.

It was definitely the right thing to do. The love that binds to a mother and that to a mate are different, but they are both special. I am sure your mother appreciated the gesture.

Thanks. Hurts. But then that's where a lot of poetry resides. And expressing it helps.
and so sad that your mate passed so young...
but a perfect person to whom you passed it on.
