Flatulating Verbalizations

Flatulating Verbalizations

A Poem by William Michael Reeves
"

Complete nonsense about conversations I had with a guy I worked with who enjoyed words as much as I.

"
With eloquence we deliquesce
Under a midnight sun
Having emerged
Through the fluxes and fugues of time.
And coalesce a millennium later
Upon a noon day moon
To rendezvous with our intellectual ally-
Zachariah!
Parlayer of thought.
Harbinger of creation.
Whose verbal alchemy
Enables our chronol exploits.
From whose utterance explodes
Fantastic ideas!
Like great gaseous balloons
Tethered to our minds
Flatulating tentacles
Carry us to new horizons!

For Zach. 1998

We all need a Zach in our intellectual lives. And the libertine use of language, that is what poetic licence is for. Brings to mind Samuel Greenburg, Rimbaud and the like. Thanks for sharing, Bill.
