Little flower

Little flower

A Poem by -b
"

The other day I was walking and there was a dandelion poking through a crack in the sidewalk, which caught my eye, I live in the country. Where there is a million places to grow, yet it got stuck ther

"
Cold, dark, misplaced,
But somehow still grows.
Stepped on, pushed down, life's been a race
Yet still it's color shows.

Little flower
Filled up with so much power
It just keeps growing like a tower
It didn't have the choice to slow down
It's simply planted to the grown
The poor little thing can't see how unsafe the world is.

Because now it's all alone
Out in the open
Collecting life from the word around
As if it were handed to it
Steadily, it still grows.

But just as things started looking up
A man came by
And it's life came to an end
Because of some guy

And as it was suffering
He gave it away
Handed it off to some girl
Who simply threw it away

It's life was short
But what could you do
It's life wasn't important
And that means nothing to you
But that's just how it works,
Beauty is sometimes just meant to die

I love your take on just one simple flower. Sometimes the most beautiful things are easily thrown away by this world... it's a sad truth... yet one we could change.

Keep Dreaming ^^
