Standing

Standing

A Poem by Bill

how do you stand
watch the world
revolve around you
rot around you
above the cycle
untouchable ivory
uncaring stone
your heart unbroken
your words unspoken

tears unshed run
down your cheek
pool at your feet
pour over the masses
littering your world
broken people
barren lives
shatter your dead heart
set you so far apart

cannot touch spirit
soul without feeling
seeks to embrace
seizes the moment
breaking the paradigm
choosing to care
caring to choose
heal their mortal pains
wash their human stains

About
I like to write poetry; I would love to actually finish a work of fiction, mostly fantasy, historical fiction, science fiction. Life seems to crowd the stories in my head so that they have a hard tim.. more..
