Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Bill

Feel the sudden silent thunder
Watch the waves pull you under
Reach for light you cannot touch
Want for breath – you want too much

Fight the darkness, fight the vice
Fight too slow – veins filled with ice
Don’t surrender, don’t be pulled down
Scream your scream – don’t make a sound

Too much light burst in your eyes
No one cares or hears your cries
Slowly watch your body slip away
Once black or white, now all is gray

About
I like to write poetry; I would love to actually finish a work of fiction, mostly fantasy, historical fiction, science fiction. Life seems to crowd the stories in my head so that they have a hard tim.. more..
