Puppy LoveA Story by BikerBear39My account of the night I asked my girlfriend out.You invited me over for a movie. Said your parent’s aren’t home for the night. I said, “Great, see you there around seven thirty.” Running late, I showered, changed, made sure I don't smell like a wet dog and hopped in the car. A long drive is nothing if you fancy someone, but instead it is hell when one is forced. To me it was the former. Crawled through the gate to avoid running over any of your canine friends. We embraced each other. Like we haven’t seen one another for weeks. It was only two days. We cuddled on the couch, watching an over the top, cliche Hollywood movie. Winter is the best time for romance after all. I held your hand. Treasured that moment. Where you were in my arms. Where you belonged. Where, for that moment, the world around us disappeared. And all that mattered was the now.
Later that night we were in your room. Listening to Avril Lavigne’s Let It Go album. We took pictures on your Polaroid. Stood together and just held each other as the music passed us by. I kissed you. Time stopped. All I could think about was how much I adore you. “So, babe...” “Yeah?” “Are you mine?” You giggled, buried your face in my chest. “Yes. I am.” “I’m glad you said that, because I am 100% yours.”
