There's No Place

There's No Place

A Poem by Gustan Joseph

All I want

is to not be here.

Just close my eyes,

tap my heels and disappear.

All I want

is to just pretend

none of my friends are cowards,

made of straw, or confined to heartless tin.

All I really want

is to melt upon the floor,

because there’s no place to call home

if home isn’t home anymore.
