The Memory EraserA Poem by Gustan Joseph
I’m trying to unwrap my mind from around you.
Can’t seem to catch a brake, well I’ve got nothing else to lose. You put me down than you push me down, where I’ll fall slowly and won’t make a sound. I’ve slipped into a wormhole. I’d sew my eyes shout just so I wouldn’t have to see you. Brake to a silent-deaf my ears, I want to ignore everything you do. Rewrite static into where we’d met, and I’d rewind back and press delete. Like eating an eraser. I’ll remove all our conversations from my brain, while writing them all down backwards I’ll store them neatly into a custom frame. Then I’ll bury it at the bottom of the sea, somewhere in the Caribbean far away from me. Every memory of you lost for eternity. © 2010 Gustan JosephFeatured Review
