A Poem by Gustan Joseph

I stay up late every night
‘Cause my heart and my brains,  they like to fight.
The  noise it all makes hurts, and keeps me all awake.

I hold my breath when I think of you,
Making a half a dozen wishes you wish wouldn’t come true.
But I understand, and hope you find  a good man.

I close my eyes and I try counting sheep.
Your eyes fellow me down, in a thought so deep.
I could ask you why, but you may or may not reply.
