YOUNG BLOOD

YOUNG BLOOD

A Poem by biggerthenu

BORN FROM A BLOODY WAR AND FLOOD
RESURRECTED FOR WHAT
JUST TO GIVE IT ALL UP
FIGHT YOUNG ONE'S
SO MUCH BLOOD HAS BEEN LOST
REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE AND
KNOW THAT
FAITH IS THE THINGS HOPED FOR & THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN

THIS FLOOD
IS A WAY TO CLEAN OUT THOSE WHO PREY
ON THE WEAKER HUMAN BEING

80 MILLION OF YOU
STILL AWAITING TO BLOOM
A PLANT CANT DO MUCH
LACKING LIGHT
,  DIRTY,  WATER AND GOD

SO CONTINUE TO FIGHT

YOUNG BLOOD
TIL  YOUR WAR CRIES ARE HEARD

Your writing is sad, a tragedy of words and deserves recognition. If self-help shows results then, it deserves support and conscientious assistance.

Bangladesh is certainly one of the world's countries that deserves aid, not just once in a while when the conscience pricks, but in continued support via different channels. By contacting and contributing to the Red Cross or similar organisations, church or a humane society on a regular basis - even a couple of hours a month, things can be done.

Most people walking this earth have troubles, that's the awfulness of modern day life, but some have hell on earth .. best hold out willing thoughts and hands than shrug and turn away ..

Thank you for writing your post, hopefully many people will read it and also, think for a second on the comments others have left.

I like to think I do my bit for charitable causes ... but no matter what you give ... and to whoever ... it never feels like enough. There is a lot of power and emotion in this piece, but more than that is an inside knowledge of spectacularly little the rich countries actually do to help. Water is the difference between life and death in some countries, but it has to be clean. All of our supposedly advanced nations should be doing more for Bangladesh, Somalia and all the others who need it. Your pen is strong my friend.

I did many life support missions for the US Army. I saw people who had nothing but held on to hope. I went to Africa and Asia many times with Army medical units with food, medicine and teaching how to clean their water. We open many close doors. I gain respect for people who live in hell and can survive. Your poem told a real story. We need to be the givers of kindness. Would be a good world if the goal of the USA was to assist the poor people in need of this world. Thank you for your words and photo.

You have surpassed what I expected from you, when I asked to you to write this piece! The time frame and research that you did was amazing, less than 12 hours, as I could detect. I knew that you could write something spectacular, but you blew me away with this. This is, exactly, what I had been fighting myself to write and couldn't; then, I thought of whom could and it was you.

I will, now, tell you that I became aware of this country because of a fellow writer on this site, Md. Nazmus Sakib of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He wants to change his country and I think that he can. I hope that you, both, will speak. You have shown me such great wisdom. You have shown the people of his country unconditional respect. We CAN change the world; it's dying (words spoken in the 70's, in a Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song!)

Beyond all of that, in our private WritersCafe conversations, Md. Nazmus Sakid found out that I was trying to institute a local "block watch" and he took my ball and ran with it in his country by putting an article in their local newspaper.

I believe that you, I, and our caring nation could protect this tiny, young country from the enemy that they have within, just by caring and giving advice. The world doesn't need any more trouble; it needs time to heal.

Further, I want to say to you that I would love to hear that, at your young age, you plan to pursue a degree in Journalism and I can give you advice on the financial end of that, if that is an issue. You should be writing this type of article, each and every day.

From your rough first writes on this site, I knew that this type of writing was deep in the heart of you.

I don't know what more to say in appreciation; I bow down to you and give you my full respect. You are the man and writer that I knew that you could be.

Edit Notes:

Line 4-Fight young "ones"
Line 14-Lacking light, "dirt," water and "G"od
Line 18-" 'T"il your war cries are heard

You brought me to tears and my knees. You did what I knew that you could do!!

You spoke well for your friend and the suffering people of that land. Bangladesh will be one of the first nations to suffer the reality of earth's climate change. It lies low and has a tragic history of devastating floods.
