VACATION

Beautiful skies the suns shining so bright and high taking lovely strolls on the beach
holding you tightly hoping these memories never fade sworn my dying love to you

wrote your name in the sand

after we made love how we loved to lay on the

hot sand or even on our satin sheets

your names also written there right in the middle of my cherry red oak head board

Sweat and blood
from all the love we shared

 

Immortalize from your love

so my hearts beating your names engraved in between the beats as it holds it's steady pace

 

the day goes on

its pressing towards dawn the tide is rising

pains build up our names swept away

 

the bed broke it must be replace

head board throw to the land field off&away

 

sheets old&torn
the sun still shines but not as brightly anymore

Gratefully my heart still beats
not to the same rhythm as it use to be

but its still beats longing waiting for another

I did like the photo. When I was young. I was always station near the ocean in my 15 year in the Army. I like the way you use the word "vacation" to make your point in the poem.
