Two Sides to every story

 

Do not judge my appearance,

The one you have always known

Only look to the person inside,

Look to the man who was always there,

But who was always forced to hide.

All these years I’ve known you,

I assure you have not been a lie.

Just open your eyes and search your soul,

Listen to that little voice inside,

Then perhaps your heart will know,

Your perception of me may change,

Then true honesty can flow between us,

And the charade I have played will be no more.

Perhaps then a chance could be more easily taken than before.

All I ask is that you contemplate these things

In a different light,

And not be quick to turn to flight,

But instead choose to fight…

Together, side by side.
