Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by Daniel Winters
"

What I'm thinking on the train, sitting across from 'businessmen'

"
You carry that briefcase
holding on
to its crushed, tattered hand.
It carries your traditions
and any other abstract noun
you feel necessary.
Your so good at holding on
you forgot how to
            let
                   go.
