A Canny Outlook

It combines itself with the subtle energies,

Makes promises of the achievements ahead,

Yet, it speaks in the language of convolution,

Of love combined with idealism and expectations.

Too subtle to be detected for what it is,

The way it combines the passions of the strong,

In the emphasis it creates, at right places,

With cues, nuances and the occasional hint,

To make it appear as if it is thought and wisdom.

A talent for the intimate and silent stalker,

Without a sound, like a predator of the wild,

Which is its true master of the arts,

Using fear and sex seductively to create responses,

Where the receiver is left at a loss to explain.

All these things will it teach when one has

Gone in too deep to ever hope to recover.

Such situations that we face provide a clear choice.

A straight talk approach helps to eventually rise,

A gymnastic approach will make it twisted beyond repair,

Where one will have to chop down the entire tree,

And replant again to reach for the light of day.

The right word today, saves several thousands tomorrow.
