Losing a Bet

Losing a Bet

A Poem by Shin ( formerly known as ) Bidayah

The most high is a sublime place but also poignant,
Or such a place that comes as worthy promise to faith,
It does get very self-occupied and besotted at the top,
And it may not have passed the notice of the denizens,
Staying at such lofts, that they are in for the betting.
This is the pre-fall situation, what you might kill for.
So its a game to get the other fella to die for god,
Where such experiences of dying are an exaggeration.
I suppose, in the course of time, one realizes the needed,
But when you think about it, it's a craft of manners,
And the loser, takes a suggestion from the Shin wall,
To bare their soul on issues or some semblance thereof.
Which ought to make great poetry, if the focus stays.
We begin something one way and end it by another,
I guess its what it is, until we find something better.
