The Morning Breakfast

The Morning Breakfast

A Poem by Shin ( formerly known as ) Bidayah

A new sun rose above the Eastern horizon this morning,
I awoke in the morning to see the green plants outside,
Sprouting as always and as witness to my own growth.
Had a conversation with my mother in the lone star,
She's still on the swing on issues, suddenly bright now.
She brought herself to relate to my ex-wife on issues,
Suggested perhaps that all of us need to take things anew,
Grandpa Pericles finally came through; good for Bidayah,
I told him I can't have him view me with wishful magic,
The ideal maker arose and affirmed our morning talk,
Pointed to our new found association and volition to share.
Our hopes lie in the response of the one who oversees,
Our efforts are to find him again and unite our purpose.
He was kind. Says we ought to stay the course for now,
That the great learning and knowledge of self is beginning,
He keeps referring to the great library at Alexandria,
He seemed pleased, though there's considerable work still,
I went out and had breakfast. A fine start to a great day.

Hello.. I'm a bit confused. I read your poem three times and I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say?? Are you referring to yourself in the 3rd person as Bidayah? I don't consider myself a writing prodigy but I usually understand the writing so this is bugging me that I don't understand the writing or I'm missing the point of it.

My writing is related to human qualities. As an individual thinks, is how we come to understand ourself. Where you are related to the abstract, it may be neccessary to take up painting or something before you return to the street level view of life's phenomenon.

Sometimes , I find reading the Iliad or Dostoevsky is easier to decipher then your writings. I can relate to much of what you say and then i seem to get lost. Perhaps it's just me but I'm so confused between Shin vs Bidayah and the ancient imagery as it deals with the present.
