The Decease of Lovethian

The Decease of Lovethian

A Poem by Shin ( formerly known as ) Bidayah

Lovethian was the young god of the Coreindians,

Living in the beautiful islands of the Eonian seas,

His demise has not been sung by poets for the grief.

Let it now be told of the last day of his life.

Waking up unexpectingly, he spied the black sky above,

It lay like a wet blanket over the roof of his palace.

The oceans boiled over with surf, like something was rising,

The trees swayed shakingly in the air without breeze,

The forest animals ran in panic in every direction.

The screams rose in the air and met his young ears.

Then as he reached the door, he felt the ground move,

Unable to reach the knob, he had fallen backwards,

The roof caved in, then the huge pillars all around,

Only the facade of the palace remained, looking forlorn,

While the dust settled. Then everything became very quiet.
