Peace Be Unto Ye

God the Father is an adorable adept,

Someone to look up to and emulate,

As he encourages us to be more like him,

To share in his responsibility to others,

Children all, waiting upon his love.

Many among us weary of the endeavor,

We ask that he releases us from the burden,

To which he responds by making us his friend.

No more the child to fuss about wants,

But to take heed of our needs ourselves,

Then to guide others to provide for themselves,

Which we do by learning of him and from him,

To discover our roles as father in the home,

And in the society of the children of the world.

In so doing we discover the meaning of faith,

And with that, HIS intent in the reasoning,

That as a child, we are his children,

But as an adult, we are his friend,

And to reach out to all those in between,

Whose anger of the child to the father,

Is matched by the love they have for a friend.
