Split in HalfA Poem by Bianca KingDedicated to the one...Place a ripe apple on my head And I shall stand and laugh Shoot it down at your will Split all we know in half
Half to trust you with pleasures bite Half to disregard you. Cast the shadows! - Show the light! True stars are seen by few Whether green or red your apples hue.
There is dispassion and humiliation From the Arrow of Discrimination It cares not for your plight But justifies all within its flight It does not know or understand But shall tell the truth with slight of hand
And regarding all that was known I, lying star up on the floor The ruby apple split straight and true One half, your worms, boring through © 2011 Bianca KingAuthor's Note
