![]() Independent MorningA Poem by Bhargavi![]() A peak into history![]() Independent morning Independent morning, I say not just b’cause it was Aug fifteen But because I just felt free, loitering the empty streets on a hazy breezy morning I had just taken my first few steps on the verdant wide road to the India Gate That a weightless rapture; Took my heart in its capture Exhilaration out of anticipation Much beyond description, Awestruck would be the exact monosyllabic description That comes to my mind for my disposition At the sight of the grandiose memorial Infusing a pride filled jubilation.
