There she was, standing alone.

Thought I would say it once and for all.

No! said her face to my heart.

Here in my mind, I thought.

What was I thinking,

I must have been bind.

I saw her seeing me.

Thought she was asking me,

I got up to tell her.

No! said her actions.

Days and Months passed.

Wow! they were fast.

Still not a word from her,

I was desperate now, to tell her.

I made up my mind.

I had no track of time.

I just went to her place.

Said it straight to her face.

The next day I saw her,

Only to hear her say,

No! I will not.

I stand here alone today.

Not a word on my pen.

Taken aback am I.

No! she is my heaven.

Forever hers, my heart says.

Keep trying, my mind says.

But all I see in her eyes,

No! don't even try.

Heart broken, I breathe.

Day by day, growing weak.

Years have passed now.

I still try to ask her the same.

And the very answer as ever,

No! she said.
