Soul Keeper's Blessing

"

The death of a very important family member sparked a blessing from my heart. With the release of these words, I felt as though the lingering emotion was released too.

Soul Keeper’s Blessing

A poem by Alejandro Manuel Espinoza

Digress, blossom on the River Styx

Let your ashes at last find solace

Within the bittersweet coexistence of shadows and mimics

My bouquet of excrescence

Catch the dying wind

Exist within the essence

Evanesce into a chaotic medley of distortion

Warmed by the falling sun, I will take your hand

Find a tranquil thought in oblivion

Unrest was your life, but now in a casket you lie

Sickness and death was your lullaby

My mephitic paper lantern

Traverse among the perpetual energy from which you will never return

Descend into the abyss

As love’s ending kiss

Caught in the vanishing flame of

The moon’s caress in eternal bliss
