Distant

Distant

A Poem by Xavier

I sit in a blanket of crisp and cool air, and welcome the gentle embrace of a chilly breeze.
Under the cover of a shadow, I take a look at the variegated leaves and wonder what they've seen.
The morning shines upon the evergreen trees and a alluring sun reassures this life will remain sound.
I sit in a lonely but magnificent forest, among the sunlight and the wind, united with the ground.
