Faded LinesA Poem by Beverly JaneFaded, faded, lines..Do you ever wish to die? Instead of continuing with your lies? Wasted nights, Faded lines. Those stupid words, “I’m fine.” The blood stains, and endless games. I’ll never be the same. These monsters can’t be tamed. They are taking over me. I feel ashamed, For losing this game. I can’t be saved, It is far too late. My name, Comes with scars. Jumping in front of cars, And endless stars. “I don’t love you anymore.” And, “Just move on.” Silently sung songs. Lyrics written on wrists. So many missed kisses. Crying and fits, Long held out fists. So much to miss, A never ending list. Tears, That fall with a hiss. I can’t take another hit. Maybe this time, They’ll miss. Bright red lines, And scars that define. Line after line, And time after time. I won’t let them find, That I’m not, “Just fine.” Fading lines, That don’t intend to leave. Fading lines, Ending times. Falling stars, Chasing cars. Breaking hearts, I never
