Prologue

I touched the tree in utter shock, seeing her here again. Even more beautiful than when I last her. Her red eyes burned towards me, with some kind of passion. “I do not have long,” she gasped as if she couldn’t breathe. I stared at her longingly. I wanted to touch her again, I reached to touch her. “Stop,” she hissed. “You are already bound, do you want to die here too?” she seemed angry. I shrank back a little, hurt obviously showing. She sighed gently, “Jay all will be well soon. You will see.” She started to fade, and my heart ached at the thought of her leaving again. “Kaji!” I cried. “I love you,” I gasped and she was gone.
