They say time heals. It doesn't. It's bullshit that people say when you're hurting, because they can't heal your pain.
Nothing truly ever heals.
It can retreat from your mind for a period of time here and there, it can slow down your tears from once a day to once a year. Hell, maybe even once every few years. But true pain, gutwrenching pain, that s**t never disappears.
Time helps you get stronger, makes the pain more manageable. Puts a little distance between you and whatever fateful day your soul tries to wish away.
But I ask you this.... if time could heal, would you really want it to?
Would you really give up that pain of missing someone so much it makes your stomach turn to barbwire?
The harder someone is missed, is pure reflection of how much they were loved.
They don't say time brings them back.
So, while you are sitting on the shower floor crying, missing that special someone, remember that you are loving them. You are keeping their memory alive.
Love isn't meant to keep to yourself, so maybe, just maybe, the pain hurts so bad is because they are no longer here to divide that love with.
