Good ol' days...A life behind bars

Good ol' days...A life behind bars

A Poem by BBP

The good ol' days.....
When souls were lighter
When the sun shined brighter

Van Morrison floating on the air waves
Creedence giving a voice to the red, white and brave

Bikers in denim vests
Doin' their worst and givin' their best

Sleeping under open skies
Filled with smoke and lit by stars

Highway wind showing the way,
to finding freedom behind bars

Chasing sunsets,
Chasing glory,
Now, only old photographs can tell the story..........

Of the good ol' days .....
That the OG's miss
and the young guns crave

Those "Good ol' days" nearly killed me; spent much of my youth in front of bars and gathering scars.
Last two stanzas sum it up rather nicely.
Enjoyed the read, B!

Yes, from this vantage point, they certainly do seem like purer days.
