Kiss me when I’m gone
But do not linger there
Listen for my name
But remember not to care.

Keep your arms wide open
But close your heart to me
Follow the path we walked on
But set your shadow free.

I’m a whisper in the wind
A place where dreamers play
I’d let you travel with me
But I fear that you might stay.

Tread lightly on the echoes
For they’ll wake you from your sleep
The future is waiting for you
Your souls not mine to keep.

There will be hands to take
Even though they won’t be mine
If you let the magic in
I promise you’ll be fine.

Kiss me when I’m gone
But make it just once more
I’ll be here when you’re ready
That’s what Heaven’s for.
