Vibe of Sorrow

Vibe of Sorrow

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

moody clouds

"

Thin veil of moody clouds

like my aged skin

I watch outside the window

a vibe of sorrow

over the mountaintops

shrouds my spirit

on these days

doziness overwhelms me

I dream of a day

with swollen white clouds

who ramble by

observe their passage

sometimes rapid

other times leisurely

I fancy the sun

once it pries bloated clouds aside

and forms shadows in my house

warms me to a buoyant mood

You are welcome Betty.
You don't need prompts to write poetry that touches a reader, Betty. Your way of thinking and being is shown in how you use words.. as kindnesses. Even when needing to be dark or negative, you don't scream, you lean forward and quietly say what needs to be said. Always. I must learn that lesson, is far than important

Indeed, the sun is a reassuring presence after a string of dreary days. Yet I somehow enjoy the clouds with their majestic shapes. Something about them is uplifting to me.
