THE MOON SPEAKS

THE MOON SPEAKS

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

conversation moon to earth

"

I am full and orange as the sky darkens

my beams are warm and welcoming

I shall share this eve with my celestial companions

and with humans on earth

to all who dare to listen:

“To my friends of the universe

both celestial and earthly

the magnitude of my glow

shall inspire to uplift your spirits

do not fret, for the strength of my beam

shall enlighten you

instill trust in you

delight you with kindness and love

all humans on earth shall shroud

in devotion to each other

share each other’s passion

with warmth and gratitude

my beams will allow you a night

full of excitement

before the sun peeks at your infatuation”

From earth:

“We are grateful for your beaming words

we will heed them well

and express our kindness and love to one another

feeling warmth from your affection

we shall celebrate you on this splendid eve”

You and the moon seem to have an indelible relationship...a triangle...you, the moon and the pen...and you all get along so well.

Your poem radiates warmth, much like the celestial glow it describes. It speaks of unity, kindness, and the joy of shared moments beneath the night sky. Your words remind us that even in darkness, there is light—both from the universe and within ourselves.

We, the listeners on Earth, receive your message with gratitude. We will bask in your beams, find inspiration in your glow, and carry that warmth into our lives, spreading kindness wherever we go. Thank you for sharing this luminous vision.

With appreciation,

A truly splendid review, much appreciated🌷🌷

If we're not gazing up at it we're howling at it. And I know which I prefer.
It is such a calming affect on most people, watching from kitchen window safety and perusing our minds for an apt phrase to describe it.
Well, it certainly beats howling and morphing into a wolf, because even if your clothes don't end up in tatters, it's so difficult to remove those bloodstains!

I gravitated to all things nocturnal. I love the moon and the stars. It gives me tranquility and peace to sit and ponder their mysteries and opulence
