Wow! What a beautiful work of art so delicate in context with used of many figures of speech, dear Betty. A mystical write in which the visual detail is simply stunning! I love nocturnal imagery, there is something about the darkness which brings the night to life for me. I love how "The Princess of The Night" curls up in a globe during the day, unfolding again only in the velvet black of nighttime! Superb inking, dear Betty.
I lost all my Passwords, among other things, on Sunday evening following a Windows 11 update on my computer. I have messaged the site so many times, both Sunday and Monday to send me a link to change my password. They sent the link but on a temporary domain, not to my email address and I can't access the link. I missed the group so much, I created a new account, but it's not the same feeling for me, Betty. I contacted them again today, no response, sadly.
Thank you for sharing your wondrous poems which I so love, dear Betty...

" the Primrose darling of the night " ... Yes indeed with such splendid poetic imagery throughout I sure can visualise the beauty of this native flower, how beautifully you depict its environment and how here it is the epicentre of all things mystically enchanting as a hot summers day becomes night and then dawn once more...

WOW, No picture needed here, It was like a movie scene in my mind, one like a fairytale.
The way you used vivid imagery and descriptive language to bring the primrose to life, painting a picture of its delicate beauty and mysterious nature. Quite SUPERB.
Literary devices such as personification ( "stars blink at her, moon smiles") and metaphor
("dancing with a star") enhances the imagery and adds plenty depth to this poem.
Beautifully written.

Wow! A truly captivating write, Betty. Nocturnal imagery is mind blowing, it is so passionately described to allow Primrose to take centre stage under the spotlight provided by the moon. I love the title of the poem, it invited me in to read it. I also love the layout of the poem. Amazing poem, dear poetess. Thank you for sharing...

Most welcome, dear Betty and thank you again for sharing...
I enjoyed your poem so much! As a fellow poet I interpret this poem through the lens of symbolism and metaphor, exploring themes of beauty, vulnerability, and the transformative power of darkness and light.
The blue satin trimmed with white linen, centerpiece of yellow crepe, symbolizes elegance and purity, while the imagery of the woman's dress being "eye-catching" suggests her allure and magnetism. She is depicted as fragile, slumbering through the harshness of daylight, seeking solace and refuge within herself. This vulnerability contrasts with her resplendence in the darkness, where she becomes the focus of celestial admiration.
In the darkness, she finds her true essence, adorned by the stars, smiled upon by the moon, and gazed at by the planets. This celestial imagery elevates her beauty to a cosmic level, suggesting a transcendent connection between her and the universe.
Her colors captivate, drawing admiration from creatures of the night like owls and wolves, who respond with gratitude and howls of appreciation. This highlights her power to evoke primal emotions and responses in the natural world.
The imagery of floating on a cloud, touching the moon, and dancing with a star conveys a sense of longing and aspiration, suggesting a desire for connection with the celestial realm.
However, with the arrival of daybreak, she retreats into herself once more, attempting to disguise her true nature under the mundane light of day. This speaks to the dichotomy between inner and outer selves, and the struggle to reconcile one's true essence with societal expectations.
In the end, and overall, I find the poem celebrates the beauty and resilience of the feminine spirit, exploring its capacity to transcend earthly limitations and connect with the vastness of the cosmos.
Bravo!

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
