HAPPY NEW YEAR? THE HORIZONA Poem by Betty Hermeleethe horizon as we fear itIn my pen and paper universe freedom prevails inspiration intensifies my thoughts I scribble until my brain exhausts fantasies heighten my legacy the moon still smiles radiant sun bathes me in light stars shimmer with lust
Yet in the New Year frozen clouds tell a different story my ink ceases to flow paper dissolves into thin air words congeal in timeless expanse moods darken to an endless pit the universe is oppressive and barren thoughts distress over a lost society we all look homologous we are all possessed our lips sealed with blue paint Ivory black lies envelop us into fear
