EYES OF OCEAN AND GRASS

EYES OF OCEAN AND GRASS

unique, mesmerizing eyes

EYES OF OCEAN AND GRASS

In my years I have only seen different eye color in animals

yet your eyes mesmerize me

one like sea grass and the other aqua ocean blue

rare, unmatched, beguiling, seductive

the sunlight reflects to expose sincere hues and shimmer

Allow me to marvel at them

with flutter in my gut and goosebumps on my skin

I wonder if there is a tale behind

what do these breathtaking eyes reveal?

May I gently touch your brow

with utmost care

while I gaze at the kaleidoscope of color

on your suntan face?

do not flinch from fright

as I am awestruck at your breathtaking sight

Perhaps when we discover each other’s charms

and inner cores

you shall disclose your narrative to me

in my arms

under a weeping willow tree

Thank you so much for your review; much appreciated!

This poem is marvellous! However, the model in the picture, Sarah McDaniel, was in fact exposed of lying about her heterochromia. Her whole modeling career was evidently ruined because of it, which is tragic considering her radiant beauty.

However, that doesn't change the fact that this is a well-crafted poem. Well done, you inspire me.

Those are eyes to marvel at, and write about. I didn't even know it was a condition until I read the reviews. Heterochromia. You just never know when you might learn something every day. I'm right with you wondering what stories those eyes might tell.

Perhaps the one eye can colour one's observation in this way or that. Whilst the reverse could be said of vice versa. In which case,is it possible tha tone could see both sides of everything, everyone. Might it not be an advantage?! Your poem is passionate, intrigued by the woman there before you, eyes alluring, difference beckoning.

Fine and unique language.as very often.

Thank you dear Em, quite a lovely review…
Hope you had a fun weekend!

Such stunning eyes. Wish I had them instead of my plain dark brown! Some people are so lucky! Having said that, a pair of differently coloured eyes or heterochromia may have different effects on different people. They may be utterly fascinated or even intimidated.

A terrorist from a neighbouring country, called David Headley, who helped plan the most infamous terror attacks on Mumbai in November 2008, on some of our most prestigious hotels and landmarks and killing scores of foreigners including American tourists, had a blue and a brown eye so heterochromia evokes mixed feelings of awe and repulsion in me.

Indeed, there’s nothing dull about differently coloured eyes. I love the way you choose such a myriad of interesting things to write about!

My sister has different coloured eyes. One brown one blue. But that is where the similarity to this lovely love poem ends.
This touches the reader from the outset.
