Hmmm a metaphor perhaps. I've read this a couple times now. Yearning for another whilst committed to someone else...? Or maybe just as it reads. Either way, I've enjoyed

The sea is so beautifully painted, I can see the teal blue, I can feel the foam, I can taste the salt and the whipping sea wind in my hair. Your words take me there, dear Betty. I also feel the yearning for the adventures the sea offers, a longing for its ferocity while yet in the arms of safety. Kudos on this deep and highly creative and thoughtful poem. I loved every image, every thought and feeling expressed so eloquently by you here.

A tale as old as time. Reminds me of Poseidon mixing his semen with the e sea foam but I can't remember which god the at created. It's like you reached through your ancestors for this one
Oh Betty, such wonderful lines here. You create brilliant imagery but also the “feel”of the intoxicating and all encompassing sea. Beautiful poetry to be appreciated by lovers of the ocean. Well done.

oh my goodness .. such a daredevil Ms. Betty :) the setting and scene initially soothes and draws me in .. "your white caps lap over my corps with fervor" .. my corps .. very interesting ... subtle sensuousness .. love the imagery ... and tragic love unrequited .. perfect tale for the sea my friend .. sure like the ride ... surfs up eh!? :)))))))

such a lovely poem and sentiments! I am not fond of water but admire it from a distance and I also adore the writes about them. I always thought I would conquer that fear but apparently this is one I cannot overcome, oh well. the last line was brilliant btw!

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
