WOW! This is fabulous! It's so deep and personal and relatable with all the frailty of the human condition exposed; laid bare, blowing in the wind, so to speak. It moves the reader with empathy and the urge to assure the author they are not alone in their musings or trepidation. This is a favorite of mine. Excellent write. F.
I liked the poetry dear Betty. I hope we can rise-up stronger. I liked how you used the language to make your point. I believe hard days make us stronger. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

You know Betty, I think if we hang around long enough, there is no telling the feelings, the emotions, the love and the loss we will feel. And believe me, I have been hanging around for quite a while. I haven't seen or felt it all but there isn't much I haven't experienced. Nicely done my friend.

What reason expects isn't always what mood dictates. It's one of the reasons why we live with regrets about our past actions. This is such a very personal piece. A good day to you.

A fabulous metaphor here Betty. I have periods of time when I am constantly on edge. That peg and that feeling is familiar. That’s when I look to the heavens where I find some freedom of spirit. This is a fav of mine now. So relatable. So well penned Betty. Kudos.

I loved this poem because this is so me, most days. That clothespin is such a beautiful metaphor for the pinching the gripping one feels inside. Where is reason? Where is soundness? I often wonder as I long for seasons of colour in my head. The stars can uift and heal one back to wholeness, if only one cared to gaze upwards and not within. I do realize that in my lucid moments but reasoning with oneself is not easily done. This is a most beautifully intense and insightful poem and one that elicited a lot of thought in me. Loved the picture too. Kudos Betty!

There is a famous Scottish film called Gregory's girl, that for some reason has stood te test of time from the eighties. It's about a bunch of schoolkids and the accents are indecipherable to most without subtitles, but Gregory's girl, turns out not to be the one he had his eye on and one of the girls who sets him up is asked to lie down and dance by Gregory. This isn't a euphemism for sex, but to lie on the grass and dance with the stars.
If you ever need your spirits lifted, try it. You will be certain to smile, I assure you.
That is a long way for a short cut to say that is what I instantly thought of reading your words.
If I had a psychiatrist, I'd be due a refund! 😊

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
