“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring--
I share your thoughts and concerns about life and the time we have left. Surely, we want to use it wisely, and not like when we were young and had "all the time in the world."
Enough of this cold, eh? Bring on the buzzing bees!

This was a heartwarming bit of melancholy reassurance. As we grow older we come to learn the value of precious time and value the time more that we may (or may not) have left. I tend to reflect on my past quite often, opportunities missed, small victories, great challenges met and friends lost over the years. I enjoyed the read.
Hello dear Betty. We are writing the poetry of life payment. We wonder did we do enough and we add-up our life. Powerful and wonderful poetry dear friend.

Each day we wake is one more than many will ever see so we should cast aside our trifling worries and glory in the beauty of nature.
A lovely poem Betty
There is depth behind your lines my friend, someone who experienced a certain thing can catch, speaking specially about the last two lines of the second verse. there were times from long ago, when I used to think about the things will happen after I am gone and I wouldn't be there to witness. right now I don't think of that, I try my best to take it day by day, as your poem says here, there are lots of graces around us, and we can also give and leave countless graces as we are here and after we leave this realm. our traces will always be a part of this world. Happy New Year to You too 🤍

Hi Betty,
I am back!! Finally after 5 long weeks of being quite ill.
I loved reading your poem early this morning!
The idea of being no longer here is what I picked up from your poem.
How important our days are. I relate to these thoughts.
Really enjoyed the read.

Nature is a gift. Each new day is a gift even when things aren’t going to plan. All we need to do is stop and pay attention. My garden brings me a huge amount of joy. Your descriptions of nature are uplifting. Happy new year to you and yours Betty.

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
