Best, B & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Birds seem to have that special
camaraderie between them
they instinctively know where
and. when together to fly south
and nature accommodates them
to their warm destinations
love your ending couplet..
Nicely done

Happy Holidays!!

You know Betty, our avian friends certainly know how to get along with each other. Also undeterred by the weather, they still thrill us with their birdsong. Nicely composed lines dear friend. All the best to you.

Yes and yes and yes and yes. A free verse sonnet. Wonderfully crafted. I wonder if you followed a syllable count of if it simply flowed this way. You even offer the turn in going south. And the final couplet divine.
This is poetry. It doesn't (and is not suppoed to be) ask to be totally understood, only enjoyed.

It certainly seems some lives are enchanted. And, the enchantment is great while it lasts.
Maybe seeing such beauty is our way of creating our own enchantment for just a little while.
dear Betty… we are a bit tainted on earth… our feathered friends find solace in the Air where clouds provide a view of Heaven … However, the River flows as we grow older and bolder… Be Brave and enjoy the sunrise of tomorrow. tenderly, Pat

Bird I believe are one of the greatest gifts we have been given by nature. To watch them flitter about the branches. They seem to be having so much fun but I am sure there is a sense of purpose involved as well. Their colors are vibrant, their songs melodious and their beauty unsurpassed. I have so many different types of bird just on my property. I love watching the owls and it seems they enjoy watching me as well. I love your poem, it is a beautiful testament to these wonderful creatures.
My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
