FROZEN TEARS

FROZEN TEARS

FROZEN TEARS

Cool autumn breezes

shroud my shoulders

crisp cerulean brings forth

the last of muggy days

whilst flowers set about to wilt

Tree leaves burst

a montage of colors

flutter like birds who cavort

in the currents

one can reap a slight rush

when wind begs for attention

and rips the leaves with zeal

at once, trees denude

disclose their intention to hibernate

through winter’s chill

Their tears frozen

like mine

silence is absent

except for the intrepid beasts

who choose spy on us

dear Betty… the Rich Carpet of Golden leaves only lasts a week or so.. then we are Penny-less to Weep. Prayers ascending where Heaven embraces the Broken Heart… Be still and listen to the Wind. gently, Pat

A great ending to my poem, dearest Pat; thank you and have a blessed Thanksgiving!!!!
Best, B
Since we reside in the same general part of the country, I am experiencing the same kind of weather as the poem describes. My wife and I took a hike in a nearby wildlife preserve this afternoon, and the chilly breezes were quite evident. I didn't have any frozen tears, though, and unless the CIA had infiltrated the place, no one was spying on us.

Thanks John for a lovely, but "chilly" report; glad there are no beasts spying on you
Best, B
