Good morning dear Betty,
Yes, laughter can go a long way.
Yesterday I was thinking about smiles.
Isn’t it interesting that when you have a smile on your face and pass someone that they smile back… same goes for laughter!
Clever poem and interesting use of words
Really enjoyed it,
Lis, still in Spain

This was so nice and refreshing to read. Laughter truly is cosmic and many people don’t seem to even know this. Laughing keeps you healthy, laughing is part of our brightest memories. Laughing is some of the utmost joy and how you define and write it here makes me smile, reminds me of so many warm happy memories. Laughter can take place in our darkest times to our brightest times. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece.
Oh, how nice it is to read a poem about something as universally beautiful as laughter. And lovely to see an author from Black Mountain! Never had the privilege of living there, but have been many times and am far from surprised that living in such a stunning place could be so inspirational... I'm personally fond of laughter being used to "rustle the brain"- what a fantastically evocative word.

I've always thought that even if sound can't be carried through space, the sound still happens. With no atmosphere to carry the sound wave, the laugh remains motionless. Drifting. Your poem got all kinds of thoughts going. I love the 'eminence of a chuckle' line. The power of a laugh to heal us. Distract us. I was expecting something cute and funny. Your poem was much more profound.

I remember a time when I was young...for many years it seemed I was concerned about the way I laughed. It sounds kind of stupid to me. I tried laughing like others but it just didn't work out. One day I confided in an uncle about =my dislike for my way of laughing and he told me...it is not how you laugh but the fact that you do laugh. Do not worry about what others might think...
I really enjoyed your laugh inspired poem. Thank you for the chuckle.
Laughter is always happening here no matter what emotion lies underneath. We handle all of them with humor and probably not always very appropriate but that’s our way to stay sane! Excellent writing as always ( I loved the second stanza) and so good to be visiting your page again! Hugs to you my sweet friend! Love P

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
