As I stand al fresco this night I catch a glimpse of a witch in flight She glides in front of the moon And croons a wretched tune In and around the stars She’ll never orbit Mars
The witch touches down next to me I gasp and hide behind the nearest tree Her orange eyes bulge out As I wipe my drizzling snout Green slime oozes from her chin Not to mention her toothless grin She has an ear-splitting cackle I ought to plant her head in a shackle
She flaps as though she has wings Off she goes and springs Into the darkness of night Far away from my sight I wonder where she rests in the skies I surmise I will never
